Do you have a dream location, a dream floor plan, or both? At Silverthorne Homebuilders, we are ready to work with you to help build your house on your lot or you can browse through our floor plans to find one that will fit well in your desired location.
The process of building a home on your lot begins with the land you love. If you own a lot, are inheriting land, or are currently looking to buy land in your dream location, we are happy to meet with you to examine the land and help you understand what type of home would work best on the land you are choosing. One of the benefits to working with a builder that has portfolios of new homes is that you can visualize the selections you are making by viewing photographs of existing homes or walking through a model home. This can help you make important decisions like the style of home you are looking to build, what type of space would work best for your family, and get a feel for what to expect from the finished product. We recently completed a custom home on this homeowner’s existing lot and enjoyed the process of building this unique home almost as much as the homeowner is enjoying it!

The path to your dream home can depend on a few factors, particularly your budget, your timeline, and the level of customization you are looking for.

Timeline
If you do have a specific time frame for moving, it’s likely you would be better off with a semi-custom home. We have a portfolio of homes that range in size from 1,600 square feet to 3,000 square feet and many homeowners have added their own customizations to these plans by expanding rooms, finishing basements, or changing bedrooms into elegant office spaces. Many of these ideas have come from walking through our model home or touring homes that are currently available. There really is nothing better than seeing a finished product, it allows you to get design ideas and see the quality you will receive in your finished home.

Learning the land
An important piece of building on your land is the process of studying the land on which you are looking to build. If building on a lot outside of one of our current communities is something you are looking to do, you can contact us and we can help connect you with a local realtor to help you find a great piece of land that would work with the home you are looking to build. Because city ordinances and building rules can vary from city to city or even subdivision to subdivision, it is a good idea to work with someone who can help you navigate through these requirements to make sure you get exactly what you are looking for.

Budget
Commitment to performance is one of our core values, and that commitment is reflected in the quality of materials we purchase through the technology we use to make sure your home remains efficient in the years to come. We care not just about your budget during the build, but make sure the materials we put in the home are efficient enough to help your long-term costs stay low. Our customer portal helps you keep track of what you are spending along the way, so as you make your selections during the build process, every option is tracked – without the need for a bulky binder – and accessible from anywhere you can connect to the internet; there’s even an app for that!
